Here are some scans from my Father’s Baby Book along with some other items that were inside.
Bob Wilkinson’s (my father) birth announcement. I believe that the artwork was done by Frank Wilkinson (my grandfather).
Notice that it doesn’t even mention my grandmother by name…the parents are just listed as “Mr. and Mrs. Francis E Wilkinson”
Bob Wilinson’s (my father) Baptism Certificate from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in DuBois, PA
Joanna Stouffer Wilkinson’s (my maternal grandmother) wedding portrait from 1946. I have inherited the painting that is in the fireplace hearth. Joanna painted this some time in the 1920’s or 1930’s.
Special edition of the Pittsburg Press with pictures of the March 17th and 18th flood of 1936.
I found this ad for Speedball Sticks pens. I am fairly certain that I have seen these stick figures in one of my grandfather’s (Frank Wilkinson) notebooks. So I am think this is an ad he did the artwork for.
Speedball also seems to be very popular with artists, even today. So he may have just kept this because he liked the ad. The films in this ad are all from the early 1930’s, so this would have been very early in Frank’s career.
This picture was take in Atlantic City. I am not sure of the date, probably in the 1930’s. Joanna Stouffer Wilkinson (left) Hallie Orner (?) on the right. Not sure if Hallie was my grandmother’s aunt or great aunt.
Here is Nellie Stouffer’s (my Father’s Maternal Grandmother) application to the D.A.R (Daughters of the American Revolution). She was accepted in 1930.
Here is the house in DuBois, PA where they lived in 1930.
